Added value through networking and automation

Industry 4.0 represents one of today’s major trends. Intelligent networking of people, machines and products is one of the main drivers in this process. It is something that SEW-EURODRIVE was quick to identify. The Bruchsal-based technology company is therefore presenting a wide range of innovations relating to Industry 4.0, automation technology, services and drive engineering at this year's Hannover Messe.
In the field of automation technology, SEW-EURODRIVE will be introducing the MOVIDRIVE® modular application inverter, the first module in the new MOVI-C® modular automation system. Thanks to its many properties, MOVI-C® delivers significant advantages to users. The availability of the entire modular automation system ensures end-to-end solutions, extending both vertically from controller to gearmotors and horizontally through all electronic products.

Innovations can also be found in other automation technology product families. The new MOVIMOT® AS-Interface option MLK23A, for example, really brings its advantages to the fore in highly networked applications. This interface lets you network up to 62 drives (A/B-slave) with the focus on efficiency, flexibility and reliability.
Innovations in the classical segments include the R127 helical gear unit, which provides another option in the upper power range.
The Bruchsal-based drive specialist has added size 1, the MGF..-DSM drive unit, to its MOVIGEAR® mechatronic drive system portfolio. This new unit covers low torque ratings between 10 and 100 Nm.
SEW-EURODRIVE is also shaking up its services area. All its services provide optimum support to customers and users based on their specific needs. From orientation, planning & engineering, procurement & delivery, installation & startup all the way through to utilization and modernization. Again, the customer receives everything from a single source – both the drive and automation technology and the associated services.
